Vilfredo Pareto And His Great Discovery By Joe Trevison
I want this to be part of your strategy it is based on a simple law of statistics established by 19th century economists named Vilfredo Pareto.
Pareto proved that nearly everything in life follows what’s called eighty -Twenty Law.
For example,. 80% of the wealth in this count is owned by about 20% of the people. Similarly, 80% of the value of all the items in your home can be isolated to just 20% of the total number of items.
At its heart, this principle is about identifying the core 20% of the tasks that influence 80% of you4 results.
Most people plunge headlong into their tasks (or projects). They put themselves totally at risk. With the 20% you can have success quickly.
So when you test variety of headlines until you have identified tied the one set of headlines that worked best.
Here is the story of one great entrepreneur how found out how this work in spite of himself..
Then he decided that the next most important ingredient was the title of the book.
So, he tested a few different book titles until he narrowed it down to two titles and decided to rush out with a nation wide campaign.
That’s when the mistake happened.
The ads went out with all the headlines as we had carefully selected them. But somehow due to a gross oversight, the copy contained one book title in some places and the second title sprinkled in other places through our ad.
At first, he thought he had a disaster on his hands. But it turned out to be not a disaster at all this huge Snafu did not effect his results.
Why not? Because it’s true that t the headlines influences 80% of your results. Most people read the headlines. Very few actually read the copy.
Ant the result of their mistake is proof positive!
So Next time, before you do anything take a moment to identify the crucial 20%,and then make sure you do it right- so that even if you much up the remaining 80% (like this guy did!) Your bottom line won’t be effected.
Now there is a great Guru, Bob Proctor, you might have heard of, he wrote an article that says, “ There has always been a small, select group. Approximately 3% of our population, who clearly understand that prosperity consciousness is the primary cause of wealth and their prosperity consciousness, like ignorance, is also passed down from one generation to the next.
Now you read Pareto 20% own the wealth. I don’t know whom to believe? I know the number can’t be that big and it relatively small part of the total population.
But that it 17% difference, I think I will go with Pareto his has made the test of time.
