The Books to Read to Be a Business Wizard by Joe Trevison MBA & CPA
When my free ezine which you can get at http://www.Joetrevison.com, first came out in 1998 the topic most focused on were taxes with just a little marketing. Why? Because I had worked 15 plus years for the monster called the IRS and had to take an early retirement in 1992. That is all I really knew. But early the following year I did a smart thing, so I like to brag, I took a survey of the subscribers of this ezine at the time. They wanted more business and marketing ideas. So that is the main focus of this ezine
However, when clients or subscribers ask for another topic it is the research for this client that is many times made into an ezine.
WHAT YOU ASKED FOR!
A number of paying clients and subscribers have asked about what to do to be a wizard in business and marketing and, for that matter, anything else.
IT'S EASY!
This is simple, read everything you can find on it. You do not have to have a degree in business. I have two: one undergraduate and one graduate, both in business. Jay Abraham does not have a degree nor does Dan S. Kennedy. And many of the others guru's have degrees in everything but business. That did not stop them from learning about business and what a job these guys have done. That is where I learned my things that really matter from these and many other of my mentors. I am trying to mentor Michael Gerber. Does he know it? No. But one famous lady found one other successful lady and modeled her without the great lady knowing. This famous lady surpassed her model.
I hope by now you want some list of books that can help you. Ok!
Here is a list provided by Jim Rohn, the man that was and is Tony Robbins' mentor. This is an actual answer to a subscriber of Mr. Rohn's ezine. Please learn from it.
Hi there, I have recently been listening to the tape set, "The Challenge to Succeed". Several times in that seminar Jim says, "you should be financially free by 40, 35 if your smart and earlier if you have a unique opportunity" I am curious about this. It has really got me thinking. I am reading the 3 books that he recommended we read. Is there anything else that Jim would recommend us to read to achieve this?
Regards, Craig
A. Hi Craig, there are a variety of books and audio series you can read and listen to, and I will name a few. But the three most important things you must do are:
1) Decide you will establish a financial independence plan
2) Study as many different teachers on financial independence as possible
3) Then make a plan for yourself and do it.
Here are some of my recommended books for financial independence. "The Richest Man in Babylon", "Think and Grow Rich", "The Wealthy Barber", "The Millionaire Next Door" and "Rich Dad, Poor Dad".
Hope this helps! JR
Your author has all these books in his castle by the college, with the exception of "The Wealth Barber". I did read it but never got around to buying it. What's more I read and read these books.
My list will give you a philosophy of life and business. Here is Joe Trevison list:

Here are just 18 books to read. The Trevison Castle has far more books than the books listed but this should get your going. The only ones you may have a hard time finding are the ones by the late W. Clement Stone. However, both are well worth the securing copies for yourself. If you can find the older copies of Dale Carnegie's book I think it is far better that the revised copy. Some great chapters were taken out of the newer edition.
