“The Millionaire Next Door” by Joe Trevison, MBA, CPA.

Many of you know I have an office in downtown Erie, Pennsylvania. However here is something you do not know, I have an office next where a millionaire works. I know how he made his millions and I will share it with you, here.

He builds homes and other kinds of property. He does none of the work. He contracts all the work out. How sweet it is.

Here is something I learned about being rich. There are billionaires and millionaires in nearly every field of endeavor.

To convince you of this simple fact just look at “Forbes” magazine annual list of richest people in the world. Practically every field of endeavor is represented.

For example in the computer software industry Bill Gates success are from borrowing ideas from others. But there are success stories of people in the software industry who made their millions and billions creating new products. And still there are other stories of individuals who made a fortune by catering to a tight niche market.

Richard Branson, the British tycoon who owns Virgin Airlines, Virgin records and nearly one hundred other companies made his wealth after they’d become well entrenched and were past their peak. This is something practically every consultant and self-help “Guru” would include in a list of what not to do!

Sam Walton, the late creator of Walmart Stores made his billions opening stores in small communities. Kmart and Sears, on the other hand, opened stores in large communities.

Whether you look at real estate or publishing or petroleum or network marketing each individual millionaire and billionaire-attained success in an entirely different way.

The bottom line is, it doesn’t really matter what path you take.

And personality, weight, and age do not matter but this can wait for another article.
