Let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Joe Trevison and for 15 years, I worked with the most fearsome organization in the United States, the Department of Treasury (the IRS). In 1992 after 15 years, I had enough and took a very early retirement. You usually have to work there 30 years to take full retirement ... but by then,
you are a basket case.
During those years, I looked at many business tax returns and financial records. By 1980, I was a C.P.A. and I started to look differently at businesses. Many of them showed very little profit. I wanted to go deeper and understand what really made them show such low profits in many cases.
In 1995, I entered graduate school to see if I could find the answers of why
business failed. . Graduate school did not have the answer in the MBA program, only more questions. My readings during this time were the old classics in marketing. I read every book I could find on business. Business buying, selling, and marketing. I learned about all the organizations and what made them succeed. I not only studied the small companies, but the big ones that succeeded and failed. In fact, my Graduate Thesis was "Why Small Businesses Fail" It could have been titled, "Why Big Businesses Also Fail."
After I left government service, I started a tax and business consulting practice that I still have today. My goal is to help those struggling businesses prosper. Too many businesses fail because of inadequate financial advice and marketing strategies.
This year, with the help and encouragement of others, I started a newsletter so everyone can start and succeed in business. Along with the newsletter,
I've written two books: "The Secrets of The IRS", by a Renegade Ex-employee and "The Secrets of Business and Marketing Wizardry".
Remember, the newsletter is free every month. One article will be about taxes and the IRS because I know they can destroy a business very quickly. The other articles are about business success.
